Mother’s Day 2021

Whilst restrictions will sadly still be in place this Mothers’ Day, after a year of uncertainty, we should celebrate more than ever. Whether you are a mum, mum to be, role model, remembering your mother figure, living together with your mum or living apart we have you covered to celebrate Mother’s Day at home.

Mother’s Day is not just about gifts and elaborate presents, it is a time to bond and celebrate everything they do for you.
Things are a little different this year, but it doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate properly. Here are our top 10 things to do to celebrate Mother’s Day 2021.

1. Go on a picnic:
From 8th March, there is a small change to the outdoor exercise roles, meaning you will be allowed to meet one-on-one to socialise outdoors in public. Use this opportunity and meet your mum for a picnic or takeaway coffee.

2. Pamper day:
Whether you live with your mum or not, bring the Spa to you. Get the cucumber out, facemasks on and have a virtual or homemade relaxation session.
Rejuvenate your skin with the Ren skincare range. Plus get 15% off from us!

3. Homemade Afternoon Tea:
A staple for Mother’s Day has always been Afternoon Tea. Treat your Mum to a homemade afternoon tea, whether it be separately on video or at home together. Lots of restaurants, bakers and cafes are doing Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea delivery, so do your research and support a local business.

4. Zoom family quiz:
Maybe not one for the competitive family, we wouldn’t want Mother’s Day to end in tears! Get your family together for a little competition. Create a quiz with questions around family occasions, interests and things your mum loves.

5. Virtual Cooking Class:
Order an online cooking class, get your Zoom scheduled and have fun with your mum. With so much choice online, you can make your own restaurant favourite from the comfort of your own home.

6. Make a memories Video:
Create a thoughtful gift, just like a photo book, host a family zoom with a surprise presentation of all family photos and videos. Sometimes time and effort really is the best present possible.

7. Virtual Wine Tasting:
For the fellow wine lovers, keep yourself entertained and enjoy a virtual wine tasting session. It’s been a huge hit since the pandemic struck and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere until the pubs & bars reopen.

8. Go for a walk:
Get outside and explore. For most of us, all there is to do is go for nice walks.
Head out for a walk around memory lane, take your mum to places you remember as a child, or head to somewhere with beautiful scenery! Make sure you stay safe and in line with the government’s guidelines.
Help your mum achieve her fitness goals with a deal on Fitbit.

9. Make homemade pizza’s:
Use a kit or create it yourself. Homemade Pizza’s can bring a little taste of Italy to you at home. Get your favorite toppings and make it your own.

10. Do an online class:
Get your workout on, there are so many fun classes you can do online. Dancing, boxing, yoga… If your Mum is really into her fitness, we have the perfect deal with The Protein Works for you.
