Enjoy a scenic train ride through picturesque Pennine Lancashire scenery at the award-winning East Lancashire Railway.
The East Lancashire Railway is a heritage line based in Bury, Greater Manchester. The 12 mile track runs regular services hauled by vintage steam and diesel locomotives from Heywood in the east to Rawtenstall in the north, passing through Bury, Burrs Country Park, Summerseat, Ramsbottom and Irwell Vale along the way.
Stations are well equipped with cafés, pubs and gift shops, as well as the popular Bury Transport Museum with its vintage vehicles, and there are plenty of things to see and do along the line. Every stop is a start to adventure!
